AuthorWhile I cannot speak for everyone that happened upon the giant bubble gum machine in the sky that stuck out like a… well like a… well like a giant bubble gum machine in the sky, I can speak for the attendees that I did get the chance to talk to.

To summarize, let’s just say that if they did not believe the pre-show marketing blasts, or were on the “bubble” as to the validity of those announcements, they partook in the Kool-Aid, so to speak, saw the light and truly left as believers in what 4K Print Technology could achieve.

AuthorThe words in the title were uttered by a participant in a vendor conference that I recently had the honor of presenting to. Right before my presentation began an individual stood up and addressed the crowd by saying “I am sorry but I have to tell you that Optima won’t ever sell to you”. As I scraped my jaw off the floor and wondered exactly how I was going to get out of the room, let alone respond, the individual went on to say: “Optima won’t sell to you but they will sell with you”.   Read more…

AuthorBreaking news.. I have a new role and job title! (cue the drumroll, trumpets trumping, announcer clearing throat as he/she steps up to the mic for this major announcement)

My official title is now Sales Enablement Manager. Yup that’s me, numero uno, the main man, top dog, BMOC, Head Chief. What’s that you say? What exactly is a Sales Enablement Manager? Hmm…darn good question. The exact same darn good question that sent my synapsis into a frenzy while my lips were uttering the pure nonsensical words “sure I am always up for a new challenge”.   Read more…

September 18, 2015 1 comment

We are all familiar with George Carlin’s routine the 7 words you cannot say on television, circa 1972, in which he expounds on exactly that. Seven infamous words that were too taboo for television viewing back in the early 70’s. Well, I had a situation that I would like to share with you that is in the same vein. What made matters worse was the fact that my Sales Manager conveniently decided to evaluate my presentation skills and join me on the call.

Do you walk the walk, better yet does your entire organization?

I apologize in advance as my story telling abilities are far from compelling and/or engaging enough to pull you to the edge of your seat or have you hanging on my every word. I also may have left off a few colorful verbs, nouns, pronouns or adjectives out, strictly for reducing word count only.

We all at one point in time or another have experienced a situation or customer service meltdown similar to the one below:   Read more…
