Wow! Does 4K Ever Pop!

Author PhotoI’ve been on the road a lot since the beginning of the year and those of you whom I have visited or spoken with on the phone in the past few weeks know that I have been super excited about our announcement this week about 4K Printing Technology. You have heard me give visual descriptions of what this new tech print looks like and what that can mean for our customers—gorgeous flesh tones; rich, bold and vibrant reds and blacks; and beautifully smooth gradations to name just a few great attributes.

AuthorI’ll preface this with – no, I’m not kidding. Currently, I’m looking at the remainder of the year to try to figure out what’s going on in our industry, what’s trending, what’s the next big thing, and, ultimately, how can we all sell more, because without you, there’s no us. AuthorWithout fabric we would truly be naked and afraid. The earliest forms consisted of animal skins draped across the body for warmth. Weaving of fabric dates back to 8000 B.C and woven wool rugs have been found near Turkey from around 6500 BC. AuthorIt’s been about 8 months since I switched roles at Optima when I accepted a position as Account Executive for our mid-mountain sales territory. When I came on board at Optima a little more than four years ago, I was tasked with developing customers who defined themselves as Event or Experiential Marketing Companies. Not so strange considering the previous nine or so years I worked for a company that worked with these companies, almost exclusively.

Well as many of you probably know we’ve been making some changes here at Optima and I now find myself working with a somewhat larger and more diverse group of customers. Read more…

Now that we can say goodbye to 2013 and the seemingly never-ending holiday, we can look forward to a banner and robust 2014!

I believe we will see a few trends continue to blow up in 2014 and each will create selling and profit opportunities. I believe backlighting, attention to visuals / the desire for aluminum structure to be hidden behind those visuals, visuals on the floor (not logos and text, but imagery that collaborates with the exhibit and environment that is being created) and technology results will all be demands from end-users.
