Wow! Does 4K Ever Pop!

Author PhotoI’ve been on the road a lot since the beginning of the year and those of you whom I have visited or spoken with on the phone in the past few weeks know that I have been super excited about our announcement this week about 4K Printing Technology. You have heard me give visual descriptions of what this new tech print looks like and what that can mean for our customers—gorgeous flesh tones; rich, bold and vibrant reds and blacks; and beautifully smooth gradations to name just a few great attributes.

Author PhotoI love to cook and entertain in our home. Every year we host my husband’s family on Christmas Eve. Now, while I love to cook, I have to admit that I lean on a friend of ours who owns a really good barbeque place to do the catering for that evening. And everyone loves it. So win-win!!

Never ask anyone what kind of tree they want to be

Author PhotoI remember many years ago Katherine Hepburn was interviewed by Barbara Walters. You know, on one of Barbara’s “star specials” that she would air on tv and inevitably Barbara would get even the toughest of Hollywood stars to spill their guts and cry or overshare about their past. During Barbara’s interview with Katherine, the movie star said something about being a tree to which Barbara asked her what kind of tree she wanted to be. Katherine said she would want to be a mighty oak tree. We didn’t have traveling sport teams that kept us busy and we didn’t have all sorts of video and electronic games to bury our heads and distract us. Our parents didn’t worry about us as much as we worry about our kids now…  Read more…

Where Raw Emotions Live

Author PhotoIt’s fun to reminisce, don’t you think? Yesterday I got out of bed, got dressed and headed to kickboxing class. It was still dark outside. We work out to music, of course.* And wouldn’t you know it, I found myself transported back to my college days. It was a scene where I am traveling/ driving across country—a six hour trip (one-way) with my younger sister and brother to go visit our parents in Cincinnati who were on an extended business trip. And the music… ah yes, the music we listened to ALL the way there and ALL the way back were my tween brother’s rap mix tapes. This was the late ’80’s so you could actually understand the lyrics. I was not especially a fan of this kind of music, but I learned to appreciate the art of the story and it was and still is my brother’s favorite kind of music. So yesterday morning, I found myself throwing jabs, hooks, kicking rounds to all the usual suspects of that era. Read more…

Introductions & Confessions

April 8, 2016 1 comment

Author PhotoI’ve got a confession. It’s time to clear the slate and move on. Tell me if you’ve done this same thing. Oh, before I begin, is there anyone out there who doesn’t like to read? Are you a kindle, iPad or some other electronic device kind of person? Or do you prefer a good printed book? I, personally, find it convenient to read from my iPad. It’s easy to buy books or check them out from the library online. But there are times when good old fashion paper with the written word suffices just fine or quite frankly, is the only thing available.  Read more…
