Transcendent Purpose

PaulYour friend and mine, Dave Brown is off galavanting around various time zones.
Gary is occupied with wrapping the globe in an SEG dye-sub.
With my two go-to guys out of the picture, I’m turning to my trusty Whiteboard Animations to fill the gap.

The truth is, I love watching these. I’m jealous because I wish I could illustrate so well. But they also happen to have interesting discussions and offer new perspectives, realizations and insights. Fascinating stuff, indeed! Read more…

Communication Breakdown

PaulFor some of you, the title may have Led you to believe that I am blogging about a Zeppelin song. Sorry if it’s a disappointment, but I’m not. I just referenced it because, well, it’s one of the best bands ever and an incredible song.

What I am here to talk about is something that happened somewhere between me planning a wedding and me posting this blog today. Somewhere in that space we ended up with no blog. Dum dum dum-dum! The State of The Web Address

PaulIt’s not uncommon for me to hear amazement from people who learn that I am a web professional, yet still use a cold war era, soviet issued dumbphone. I will also confess to still owning a big, heavy, boxy TV with an antenna that gives me about a dozen stations to choose from.

While I don’t subscribe to Neo-Luddism, I am not driven by a need to be on the cutting edge of technology in my personal life.

Professionally, however, I have no choice but to keep up. Read more…

PaulHow do you sell to potential customers? Are sales people serving their own agenda to make a sale or are they getting the sale by listening to customers, identifying problems and providing solutions?

My eyes nervously scanned around the room catching glimpses of what was going on next to me and behind me. I dare not move my head and break protocol. I’m subdued but alert. Through reflections off of glass and chrome I see lots of activity, glance at a few faces; I know no one here. Read more…
