What’s up with this V-Stand?

AuthorI had this question from a customer following our recent product launch of the V-Stand and their receiving of our marketing e-mail. Now this customer loves the Pronto and considers it their go-to for a retractable banner stand. He was wondering when and how he should sell this vs. the Pronto. I realized he was probably not alone in wondering this so here’s my take on that subject.

Recently we’ve had customers who have had opportunities for projects where there were large quantities involved and where cost was a key factor. This necessitated we find the most cost effective piece of hardware that still met our standard of quality. Low cost is great but at Optima we have never been comfortable offering a throw away banner stand that ultimately would disappoint over time. That’s just not how we operate.

We also know our dealers are facing tougher competition from buyers with limited budgets who have been asking for a lower cost option. To that end, we are offering the V-Stand as a quality piece of hardware that will allow them to compete for these tight budget projects.

At the same time, they can feel confident the V-Stand meets Optima’s high standards for print quality and durability.

That said, we sell more Pronto Banner Stands than any other type we offer and I would have to say that its larger live print area, multiple media options and lifetime hardware warranty probably have quite a lot to do with that.

So my answer to this customer about when and how to sell the V-Stand was to offer this when there are large quantities involved or to customers who may have gone elsewhere for a lower priced option.

Our goal for the V-Stand is to give you one more option that can help you win business.

The sales team is going to be traveling with a V-Stand demo and will be showing them as we meet with customers. We’ll also have these in our demo program should you need a unit quickly to share with a prospective client.
