Pillows… really???

AuthorWhen I’m meeting with customers who haven’t known Optima very long it can be difficult to convey all the things we offer and their perception is sometimes, “you guys are digital printers, right?” This is fair, we have multiple print processes under roof and most of what we produce has an element of print involved. However, if you dig a bit deeper you come to realize that a better way of describing Optima is that we have a lot of great options (aka solutions) for branding environments and a couple of recent projects really illustrate what I’m talking about.

One of our customers who works a great deal with architects and interior designers is getting a lot of mileage out of our wall mounted, SEG Nouveau system. He’s had 3 significant projects recently where his clients opted to use Nouveau in lieu of wrapping acoustic panels and mounting the wrapped panels to walls. The biggest advantage he cited is he was still able to include the sound absorbing panels within the frame but when they wanted to change the image it was quite easy with the SEG and not so much with those wrapped acoustic panels. The following examples are photos from two of those installations; this first one is at a newly constructed music venue (story continues below):

And these show our Nouveau Frames with SEG Graphics installed in a healthcare facility(story continues below):

Another recent (and unique) example that reinforces this idea of branding anything was branded pillows…yes, pillows. This particular customer has added this concept to their repertoire and it has been quite successful for them and the following photo shows a great example (story continues below).

They tell me they always include Printed Carpet as an option in their booth designs, also and by adding their logos to these pillows they can really crank up their client’s branded presence.

You know I could go on…so what the heck, I guess I will…printing on our TacTac material gives you a medium for branding almost any surface, it doesn’t require a professional to install and it removes cleanly and easily. We routinely print welcome signs for our Optima visitors and apply them directly to our reception desk as well as on our lobby walls. I’ve seen it applied with great impact on elevator doors, marble columns, even concrete pillars (story continues below).

So, yes Optima is definitely a digital printer and one of the best in the business but it’s a means to an end really. It’s all about branding your space, display, event, environment…or yes, even pillows.
