On The Road Again…

This past week I attended the first 2014 EDPA Roadshow that was hosted by the Chicago chapter in Itasca. The event featured several networking opportunities which included a walk down college memory lane for me and the days of playing Frisbee Golf at Beloit College. Optima was proud to be one of the three sponsors for this event and for the upcoming two Roadshows that will be in Las Vegas and then Washington DC. If you are in those areas or within close proximity, I strongly encourage attending as the two featured speakers were truly outstanding.

By the end of the second speaking session, I have to say my brain hurt based on the thought provoking content and intriguing Q&A. I will not try to reproduce either presentation for you, but will say the first really advocated the importance of individual preparation and how you conduct meetings (sales calls specifically) and the second demonstrated how “Big Data” is being applied and utilized to help companies grow their businesses. AuthorBoth speakers addressed the needs of the buyer and the buyer as an individual, but the approaches to cross a similar finish line started in very different spectrums.

I want to thank the EDPA for recruiting and picking both of the speakers. I am pleased to say that I will be attending one of the two upcoming Roadshows and am bummed that I will miss one of them (darn family reunion…). If you would like to learn more about the upcoming Roadshows – please visit the EDPA website or contact Melissa Nemitz at EPDA HQ.
