Well, another Exhibitor Show is in the rear view mirror and I want to say a big thank you to those who attended, stopped by our booth, and came to our reception.
I was thrilled with the effort my team put in to construct our exhibit that featured 16′ h double-sided Panoramic® Lightboxes, a custom Aviator hanging sign, and two inTouch™ Interactive tables. I saw many more touch screens this year and I can tell the interest is increasing because we had double the number of people come and ask us for demonstrations. I have shared with several of you that I think Optima™ was on the front-end of the wave when it came to technology and I still feel that is somewhat the case, but a few days after the show we have quotes totaling in excess of 300K for tables, inTouch™ Apps, and rental projects. The product keeps getting better and the need is even greater than ever – I heard it explained by end-users several ways – we need access to all our digital tools, we need to be prepared to demo a product that we did not bring to the show, and we need results. inTouch™ brings results in the form of buyer behavior and data. We are here to share what that means and how you can create a new revenue stream.
My favorite quote regarding inTouch™ was from an early adopter. She said, “I asked you why would anyone consider me a technology expert?” and you responded, “why are you an exhibit expert?”, and the answer was “confidence.” Technology is a fluid and crazy animal, but not elusive and as you looked around the show – new uses and versions were everywhere. I will now dismount my soap box.
One of the best parts of the Optima™ show experience, for me, is our VIP reception and I think we set a record this year in terms of attendees. In 1996, we all crammed into a suite at Ballys, I think, and now we all crammed into a ballroom at the Four Seasons. I enjoyed seeing many familiar faces, meeting new friends, and seeing all of our customers network with each other.
