It’s going to be a great year!

Can you feel it? No, really, can you feel it? Take a deep breath…hold it…hold it…exhale…take another deep breath…and…exhale. Yes, that is the cold air from the polar vortex but it is also the Optimism only the New Year can provide.

It is better than spring time. It’s the transition for the year past to the year future. It’s our spring training, it’s our training camp. Instead of talking about going to the World Series or making it to the “Big Game”, we are planning on having a great year, a bigger year than the last year. We are planning our work and working our plan. We are optimistic about hitting our goals, landing that big account and planning our next vacation. Yes, it’s a time to reflect but it is also a time to take action. Don’t let the optimism wane.

Regardless of your age, occupation, or stage in life, I would encourage everyone to write down a goal. Additionally, it is important to keep this goal nearby where you can read it every day. Then you must do your best to keep your goal on track day-by-day.

imageGoal setting and using S.M.A.R.T. goals is an investment, a discipline and a force that can and will bring clarity, purpose and direction as well as drive you forward not just as a business, but as an individual. It’s a practice I value and get great benefit from year after year.

As we continue to forge ahead into 2014, I wish you all the best because it is going to be a great year.  We’d love to hear from you regarding…….

  • How you go about setting goals.
  • What goals you plan to achieve in 2014.
  • How we can support your success in achieving these goals.
