Exhibitor 2012 Social Media To Do List

authorThere are about 3 weeks until Exhibitor 2012 in Las Vegas. Going or not, where are you with your Social Media plans for that week? Below is a list of things to think about and to help with your planning for the show.

For those going to the show:

  1. Follow Exhibitor’s Twitter Feed (@exhibitor).
    Already there are some interesting posts in regards to the show.
  2. Join and Like Exhibitor’s Face Book page.
    A great place to see images and follow the show community.
  3. Decide on the Hashtag(#)  you will post on from Exhibitor and remember to follow it yourself. Advertise it in your pre show social media campaign, Email Marketing and post on your Website/Blog.
  4.  Finalize your pre show & automated at show posts and get them scheduled on Twitter
    -Reminders of your booth location on the floor.
    -Information about the details and location of your after show meet ups.
    -Scheduled events, special guests and giveaways.
    -Video ads about going to the show and what you will take video of at the show.
  5. Start posting pre show posts on Twitter & Face Book once a day starting Monday the 20th then post twice a day starting Monday the 27th up until show day.
  6.  Post your show appearance on your LinkedIn page. Invite others to come visit you and throw in a teaser about your show space.
  7.  Last but not least get your social media contact points in, on and apart of your booth graphics display. If you need graphics for your display I know this place in Missouri.

For those not going to the show…which I am one of you.

  1. Follow steps 1 & 2 above along with the part of step 3 that says follow your own companies Hashtag. Also, follow any other Hashtags or social media sites of other companies going and posting from the show.
  2. If you are the home base person for your Exhibitor teams social media finish up your plan for the show week. Let everyone going to the show know your plan and get some rest. You will be busy.
  3. If appropriate collect information from your social media monitoring of Exhibitor and put a post together for your company Blog. Post it during and another after the show titled “Exhibitor from my desk”.
