The Slow Season Is A Killer. Or is it?

Yep, it’s the slow season and sales are in the tank. Bad news? Well, sort of but there is a silver lining.

The slow season allows us to regroup and accomplish the key items to move our business forward. Top of the list is preparing and implementing plans for the upcoming year. A close second is

employee training: cross training of existing employees, training of new hires and outside training for longer term employees. imageOther important areas include bringing on new equipment upgrades and installation, evaluating and filling inventory levels (volume discounts help), job flow improvements, equipment maintenance and facility rearrangement. All of this is extremely necessary to make next year more successful than this year.

What are you doing to make the 2012 a ‘killer year’ for you?
